WHAT IS THE PPI?

THE PEOPLES' PEACE INITIATIVE

The Peoples' Peace Initiative (PPI) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creation of jobs for the Youth in the Middle East and to the support of education as a powerful tool to make peace a reality. It was founded in 1997 by Joseph Zarabi, a philanthropic businessman, to help decrease the tensions in the Middle East, starting with the Palestinians and the Israelis. Throughout his life, Joseph Zarabi has been donating his time, personal funds, and assets to support the PPI’s mission.

Joseph and the PPI supporters believe that the ones affected the most by the Middle East conflict are the families at the bottom of the economic ladder, caught in the middle of the hostilities. Politicians who fail to address their real needs systematically abuse them.
The PPI was created to be their voice, their support, and their tool.

The PPI is, as stated in its name, a movement of the People and for the People, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation. All are welcome and all are needed to reach our goal: peace in the Middle East. The PPI’s goal is to raise awareness, educate and eliminate prejudice on both sides of the conflict, and fight for peace and prosperity. To achieve these goals, the PPI wishes to create a Cultural Peace Center of the world in Jerusalem, which would serve as a center for education and cultural advancement
for people globally.
